Arterial Biosensor

Description

Together with the Bao Lab (https://baogroup.stanford.edu/), the Fox lab has worked on developing and testing small microsensors. They have developed biodegradable sensors for short-term applications and wireless sensors for long-term applications. The most recent work, published in iScience, demonstrated the ability to monitor small fluctuations in blood flow in varying size vessels in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo.  This exciting work could change the way physicians monitor perfusion and blood flow after vascular bypass or reconstruction.
